Membership Committee Members Needed
Ruston High School Alumni Association Membership Committee
Purpose: The Membership Committee plays a vital role in developing strategies and initiatives to attract new members, retain existing ones, and re-engage those who have lost touch. Our responsibilities include organizing membership drives, creating engaging content and communications, and collaborating with other committees to ensure that all alumni feel valued and connected.
We also maintain the alumni database, ensuring that member information is up-to-date, and facilitate communication between the association and its members. Working closely with the Events and Fundraising Committees, we ensure that members are well-informed about upcoming events and opportunities to support the school.
Responsibilities:
Plan ways to increase membership in the RHS Alumni Association.
Maintain accurate membership records, counts, and contact information.
Develop RHS Alumni Association Membership Forms.
Coordinate with the Senior Counselor at Ruston High School to place membership forms in graduating senior packets.
Engage with class reunions to promote the RHS Alumni Association whenever possible.
Provide regular input and updates during Board Meetings as required.
Nominate a chairperson annually or when a vacancy occurs, presenting the nomination to the Board.
Collaborate with other committees as necessary.
Fulfill additional duties as required by the Board.
Membership: The Membership Committee comprises general board members and other members of the RHS Alumni Association.
Meetings: Committee meetings are scheduled by the Chairperson as needed or upon request by the Board of Directors. Meetings can be conducted in person or virtually via email, depending on participants’ preferences.
Time Commitment: This position requires a commitment of approximately 5-10 hours per month, including attendance at meetings, committee work, and participation in events.
