What is a Grant?

Our grants program is designed to provide financial assistance to innovative projects and initiatives that enrich the learning experience at Ruston High School. Our grants aim to enhance every aspect of student life.

Teacher grants are intended for larger projects that have the potential to significantly impact the school community. This could include funding for new technology, major events, or extensive educational programs. These requests must be submitted by a full-time educator employed by Ruston High School. The application process for these grants is more rigorous and will require a detailed description of the project, a budget including an itemized list of materials to be used, and a detailed implementation plan.

Student Organization grants are small-scale grants designed to support the needs of student organizations within the school. The grants can be used for various purposes such as supporting small events and projects organized by student organizations.  The application process is less rigorous than the Teacher Grant Process. However, the grant request must be submitted by the Faculty Advisor for the student organization.
